Living Vicariously...

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

I always think of this song when I start to think about growing old, or older or whatever, I heard this Dylan song a long time ago and it stuck - it has three phases of life contained within it, starting off in Childhood, then as an adolescent and then as an adult - and the wishes that he has for each of us in those periods of their lives.
One year ago I was writing as a sleep deprived father who was just starting to figure out where he fit into this big old crazy thing called being a dad, now one year later - Sophie is the most awesome tiny lady - We're still taking things one day at a time and I still don't feel my age (or act it) I don't think that we ever get old as long as we can still think like a child, be at awe of the things around us, always expect the best from people and surround yourself with people that make you smile and laugh. I just came home from the Rogue, having done just this - it was a a great start on my 37th year.
36 years down, just keep on keeping on...

Sophie will show me the way...

Sophie will do just that!

I think you have found your way...

sleep deprivation can do that. :) it's a bit of an out of body feeling isn't it?
